~ 2010 Workshop Retreat~
The 2010 Workshop Retreat will be in North Bethesda, MD (Washington, DC metro
area) Friday, August 6 - Sunday, August 8.
Don't miss this professional development filled with breakthrough classroom success strategies and instructional insights in the motivation-to-retention process.
You've earned this!
You want to do something for yourself and your students as you move yourself forward with
your new
teacher leadership skills!
You are invited to spend 2 -1/2 days unlike any other professional development workshops you ever been to. This year's theme focuses on 'Constitutional Amendment ' as we explore related cross-curricular activities in Reading, Language Arts/English, Math, Science and Social Studies.
We will indulge you with fun, hands-on practice and assist you to plan and write lesson plans using academic scrapbooking. Think you need to be a scrapbooker? Academic scrapbooking is not scrapbooking as a hobby. It is an educational best practice instructional approach that allows the student to personalize the curriculum through the Independent Practice activity. You want students to personalize the curriculum because classroom research suggests that is how students tend to connect with the teacher's lessons and ultimately produce results on tests. Motivation-to-Retention.
We'll show you the ropes, assist you with your 'take back to the classroom' lessons, activities and photos, and handle all the woo hoo! surprises throughout the day. More secrets and surprises coming your way. Included with your registration is continental breakfast and lunch each day. We also take you on a field trip! This year we are going to the Newseum!
