Welcome to Scrapbooks That Teach tm , the website devoted to assisting students to personalize the curriculum. When students see themselves interacting with their teachers' lessons in a positive manner, they are more likely to retain that lesson. Scrapbooks that Teachtm is committed to providing a research-based educational program using academic scrapbooking that is based on an instructional method. Academic scrapbooking is a copyright process for students, K-12, to respond to the curriculum by being part of it through the photos they take. Their completed scrapbook pages are known as scraPPages tm . The scraPPagestm are gradable and I use a rubric. My use of academic scrapbooking in the classroom has resulted in enthusiastic students who remember what is being taught! I have used this approach since 1997.
